Pendle 2

Hello all again

Just a quick line to say....WOOOOHOOOOO!

Another 30 at PV...Actually 39lb to be precise....verified by Dave Harnwick at 11.30 last night.Pictures below..It went like a train.I popped on for a quick session on Friday and had a 17lb and 19lb off the top before Losing a thirty from the top.Gutted.......I was.... but then had a twenty one on Sat afternoon before the big Girl pulled the line ever so gently and then ripped across the peg and pulling my shoulders like a Turkish masseuse....However ten minutes later the net was slipped under the fish and my first thought was "ITS a BIG FISH maybe even the lake record 40lb plus. This fish was Huge.It was so wide across the shoulders and so deep but it did not have an ounce of fat on it.This fish will definately be a low forty in a few months and god knows what it will be before spawning. It has an enourmous frame and mouth and the good news is that this fish is not one of this years previous 30s..........

Anyway here are the pictures: enjoy

PS this weekends weather as absolutely awful.Persistent rain and wind but thanks to the harnwick family again for there warming personalities and Dave Snrs Lattes were a godsend at night and at 7 in the morning........

Pendle Phew.......

Pendle Phewwwww!!!!!!!!!

Hello all

Well what can i say after the last pendle view session. wow, wow, and wow..18 carp to 20lb 8oz.

The fishing there is really taking off.

The new fish have had an instant impact on the water. Also in that week a 36 came out on 65/66 and Danny set a new pb with a 26lb mirror Well done to all. Plus the juniors had a great week with 3 p.bs coming to Rachel Harnick and Korey and the young lad on 31/32 who had a 22lb mirror.well done to all of them. A lot of people are asking me "What is the best way to fish Pendle View" and i think the best answer to that is, TO FISH pendle view. Try baits for yourself and see what happens.....but be ready to hold tight if you hook the new mirrors-they are on steriods.......

However i do appreciate that not everyone has the time or money to spend long periods doing "research" as i call it so heres a few pointers:-

1.At the moment only using a small amount of bait is essential or even single hookbaits only. The fish seem to be shying away from big pva bags full..

2. Bright baits are definately worth a shot.......The 32.5lb i had was on a bright orange bait

3. Another thing i noticed last week was the amount of dropbacks which were actually carp picking bait up and running straight at me.
If you have a large dropback lift into it....

4. And one more important tip the bigger fish do not necessarily scream off with a single toner...They have mastered the art of looking like a bream bite so even if it is raining in the middle of the night don't leave them thinking"bleeping bream"because you could well be missing the big one...

.Apart from that you really have to fish the water and sometimes that will mean Fishing not Catching but at others you will have one of those sessions that you will never forget......
